Wind Newspaper is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
Wind Newspaper aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. We are currently working toward full conformance and have completed a significant portion of remediation as of April 2026.

- Navigation heading structure on some page layouts is being refined
- Some article thumbnail images linked from the homepage may have alt text that could be more descriptive

Measures we have taken
Wind Newspaper has taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Added skip navigation links on all pages
- Implemented ARIA landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer) across all page types
- Ensured all advertisement images have appropriate null alt text with accessible link labels
- Ensured article images use correct alt text practices with visible captions
- Added keyboard accessibility and ARIA state attributes to navigation menus
- Made the language switcher operable by keyboard with correct screen reader semantics
- Added ARIA labels to the site logo link and hamburger menu button
