DA Chesa Boudin starts early to kickoff his Reject The Recall Campaign

(SAN FRANCISCO) Before the Department of Elections certifies the recall petition, District Attorney Chesa Boudin has begun his campaign against the recall and held a kickoff rally asking for votes and support.
Boudin's campaign to oppose the recall is named "Reject the Recall". The kickoff rally was held in the Janitors Union Hall at Local 87 on October 21, a day before the recall petition signatures were turned into the Elections Office.
Labor community, Union members, and supporters gathered at the Local 87 Union Hall to show their support to keep Boudin in his job.
BART Board Member Bevan Dufty, former State Senator and mayoral candidate Mark Leno, former Supervisor Sandra Lee Fewer were among the supporters attending the rally.
Fewer supported Boudin in his run for District Attorney in 2019. "I am 64 years old. I am also worried about crime. Chesa has kept his promise in his campaign and has hired Chinese speaking staffers to work in the DA office. He prosecutes violent crime," said Fewer.
"It will be a fight because they have money. Big money cannot win the election. People will win the race," Fewer spoke.
"Your votes matter," said Boudin in the rally. "I first appointed the Chinese speaking head of the victim services. We also expand it with the state for victim services. I promised in 2019 that I would be proactive."
Boudin said, "I filed a lawsuit against the companies making and selling Ghost Guns. We have to take the guns off the street to keep our community safe. I promise to enforce the law equally without the race background."
