San Francisco hosts "I Voted!" sticker design contest


(SAN FRANCISCO) The Department of Elections announced the “I Voted!” sticker design contest and invited members of the public to submit their design. The winning design of the sticker will be given to all San Francisco voters in 2024.
The “I Voted!” sticker design contest is open for anyone who is aged 18 or older to submit their design between August 21 and September 22, 2023.
The Department of Elections also plans to host the “Future Voter” sticker contest in 2024 which will be open to local K-12 students to participate and compete.
After evaluating all the design submissions, a five-member panel will nominate nine finalists of the "I Voted!" sticker design contest. The public can select their favorite sticker design from the finalists or choose to keep the current “I Voted!” sticker between October 10 and October 17, 2023.
“We are looking forward to engaging with thousands of San Franciscans through this contest,” said Director John Arntz. “By hosting this contest, we hope to draw attention to elections and remind everyone to prepare for the presidential election cycle. I encourage anyone interested to spread the word, to submit a design, or to help choose the winner!”
The winner will be announced in a ceremony outside of City Hall’s Room 48 on October 26, 2023.
There is no elections held in 2023. Public offices at the city, state and federal levels will be opened for elections in 2024 including U.S. President, U.S. Senators, State Senators, State Assembly Members, San Francisco Mayor, 6 District Supervisors, School Board Members and many more.
The top winner will receive $1,000 in the sticker design contest. Second-place winner will receive $500 and third-place winner will receive $300. The winning “I Voted!” sticker design will be issued to all local voters in 2024 elections.
